February A2 New Tech

"Ann Arbor New Tech is one of the longest-running, largest attendance, tech startup events in the region. Since 2009, we've hosted hundreds of companies at our monthly flagship event, where 3-5 companies get 5 minutes to pitch their product, do a 5 minute Q&A with the audience, after which we open it up for community announcements and networking."

The pitches that we heard from this month were:
Peter Forhan, Plus Zero
Dan Neaton, Neaton Mathematics
Neil Kochhar, Hexient Solutions
Vikesh Chandrashekar, Fairshare LLC

I love hearing about all of the amazing ideas we have here in Washtenaw County. Many of these companies are in the very beginning stages of their business and are just looking to gain exposure. Those in the crowd (typically about 100) are entrepreneurs, marketers, investors, etc. My favorite pitch this month was Plus Zero. The passion in Peter's pitch was something to be inspired by, and he has a tremendous idea to back it up: cleaning your hands with UV light. It is more effective then hand-washing and he aspires to have it put into all bathrooms worldwide.

At the end of A2 New Tech I had the chance to do a small pitch to the crowd all about the upcoming digitalsummer.clinic events. If you haven't heard yet, we have some amazing events that are free to the community and tailor to many different crowds. If you want more info, be sure to check out my latest blog post
