January Ypsi 9th Hour

Ypsi 9th Hour is for those who live, play, and work in the wonderful city of Ypsilanti, Michigan. With lite bites and great drinks, it's a delightful opportunity to connect with members, share announcements, and get involved in the community. The '9th hour' is meant to represent the hour after a typical 9am-5pm shift. Each month 9th hour is held at a different local business to showcase their space. 

This month's 9th hour was hosted at The Back Office Studio in downtown Ypsilanti. The 'BOS' is a coworking space where you can rent working spaces or offices by the day, week, or month. "Whether you're an early bird or a night owl, a team leader or freelancer - we're the working space for you! At the back office studio, you'll find the best facilities and the most supportive environment for creativity and growth."

At this month's event I connected with many familiar faces, and as always, was eager to make new connections. As a part of my independent study this semester, it is my objective to obtain three non-profits to set up their Google Ad Grant account. I connected with Alice Kepchar, the Marketing Director at the Neighborhood Theatre Group who was more than thrilled to learn about the opportunity. 

Attending local networking events has helped me to grow my network and gain more confidence in my professional work. Whether it's sharing my passion for marketing, speaking the gospel of digitalsummer.clinic, promoting new events or recruiting new non-profits, I enjoy it all.
